Julie is a brunette? All along I was picturing her as blonde, in contrast to Kate’s brunette hair. Somehow I thought that was an important distinction. Now I’m going to have to totally retcon the whole movie I have in my head.
That’s right, Julie is a brunette. You can see a reference to that back in Chapter 13. I’ve always thought of her hair as perhaps a shade or two lighter than Kate’s, however — some might even call it dirty blonde, although she regards herself as a brunette. Molly is the only real blonde among the daughters. There’s a ‘picture’ of Julie in Chapter 2. Pretty cute, don’t you think?
I would definitely call the picture in chapter 2 dirty blonde, and yes she is cute. Do you have a picture for Kate?
Also, I imagine that the girls in this story are somewhat modeled after you own daughters, is that true?
I have only one daughter, and she doesn’t really resemble any of Suzanne’s kids — however, I have used her as a model for characters in some of my other stories. I’ll leave it up to you to guess what those might be. 😉
And, no, I’m sorry, but I don’t have a picture anywhere of Kate. I had one many years ago when I started writing this story that I used a model for her, but I can’t locate it now. It’s somewhere on an old computer, I think. If I ever find it, I’ll let you know.
Hi N.M me again, lol, guess what, I’ve another suggestion(Shocker), anyway here it is, as always it’s meant as encouragement and another avenue if still not ready to continue with Joys, anyway reason was so disappointed you stopped where you did was because with your description and little bit you revealed, i was really looking forward to reading more of 16yo Alsxa Crawford, her recent experience of girl love and more of her interactions with julie etc at the Ney Year party. Was especially looking forward to how she and her mother and sister lifes progress.
So my suggestion is maybe doing some stories of characters from joys, like the Crawford’s or especially the mother/daughter retreat in New England, lol. Yes i pay attention, don’t see point of reading things if they not good enough to remember. Obviously could suggest loads but they’re your characters, honestly if i could write and had patience to do the research, planning, etc i would love to do it. So please always take any suggestions or criticism if i ever have any ( lol,told j.e.ashbourne to make her stories bigger, far to short) as a sign of major respect and love of your work. Alway jealous jws

I’d imagine Julie, Dana and Chelsea are a family unit now, and Molly and Chelsea are now a couple as well. A lot should have happened in the last 13 years to everyone. Has Suzanne succeeded in helping Dana recover the rights to her videos? That might have wound thru the courts for awhile. And Dana’s talent for designing clothes for petite people like her, Julie and Chelsea should have led to a career in fashion design. I can picture Julie, Dana and Chelsea, and perhaps Molly, too, creating a company for such fashion minded girls and women. The money Dana gets from the videos could be the seed money to start up the outfit. They would be following the path the Olsen twins followed in creating their fashion empire. The Covid emergency would’ve reared a winding path for the girls’ lives. Another trip to the lesbian retreat might have involved Julie, her sisters, Dana and Chelsea, meeting a mix of old friends and newcomers. Karen and Miranda might be playing a role in the girls’ lives, too. And a suggestion: With AI technology, that little picture of Julie in Chapter 2 could be updated to reflect Julie’s look in her mid-20s, with shoulder length hair and a bit of a figure. You could create AI images of the others to reflect where they are in 2023.. Hooe we get to catch up to them all in the near future.
