Addison smiled and waved as she saw Heather Godwin step out of the serving line with her tray of food. The girl saw her and grinned, started toward where Addison sat. Heather was a cute strawberry blonde, with a pixie nose, an infectious smile and big green eyes that would make even the most flawless emerald jealous. She was pale and her eyes almost seemed to glow against her milky skin, giving her an almost ethereal, elfish look that Addison found appealing. Wearing jeans and a Nike sweatshirt, she still managed to look like she belonged on a Lord of the Rings set.
Even her last name sounded elfish, Godwin, Addison thought, amused.
She looked excited about something. Knowing her, she had some dirt on someone. Heather was their little group of friends’ gossip monger. Honestly, Addison would have no clue what was going on around the school without her.
“Hey,” Heather said, sitting down across from her.
“Hey,” Addison said, smiling. She took a sip of her chocolate milk.
“I think Tara might be a lesbian.”
Caught off guard, Addison tried to breathe her chocolate milk, sucking it into her lungs and launching herself into a coughing fit. She gaped at her friend as she sputtered and choked. The girl blurred out of focus as her eyes started watering.
She heard the girl laughing, and Heather said, “I about had the same reaction.”
Addison got herself under some semblance of control, managed to wheeze, “What are you talking about?”
“She cornered me at my locker, then pulled me into the bathroom,” Heather said, opening her milk, “she was acting weird, like she was hiding something. She went stall to stall to make sure we were alone, and then she asked if I’d be okay with it if one of my friends were gay.”
Addison hoped Heather would blame her red face on nearly choking to death and not embarrassment, which was the real reason she turned crimson. Her heart was racing in her breast, and she felt hot all over with adrenaline.
She doubted Tara was gay, that her question had been for Addison and Bethany benefit, not her own. Addison couldn’t decide if she wanted to be mad at the girl or touched. Either way, she needed to have a talk with her.
Now, she had to figure out what to tell Heather that Tara wasn’t a lesbian without drawing attention to herself.
“Um, I don’t think she’s a lesbian,” Addison said, her voice a little shaky. Again, she hoped the girl would assume it was from the milk in her lungs.
“If you’d have seen her,” Heather said, sipping her milk, “she was nervous. I’ve never seen her nervous before. It was weird.”
“I think she has a crush on Ethan,” she said, risking a sip of her milk to sooth her raw throat.
“Huh,” the girl said, frowning. Clearly, she hadn’t thought about that.
“Which reminds me,” Addison said, grinning at Heather, “I need to tell him to get off his ass and ask her to the Valentine’s Dance.”
“Did she ask you to do that?” Heather asked, grinning.
“No, but someone needs to do it,” she said, shaking her head, “those two are pussyfooting around it, even though it is pretty obvious they like each other.”
“Yeah,” the girl said, laughing.
“I think I might drop by his house later,” Addison said.
“Wait,” Heather said, leaning forward, “do you think… Do you think one of our friends IS a lesbian? Do you think Tara knows which one and is just… Testing the waters?”
Her heart started racing faster, and her hands were shaking as she reached for her milk. She hoped Heather wouldn’t notice. Taking a long swallow, she tried to think of the best way to handle this conversation. Part of her was curious what Heather thought about having a gay friend, and another part was petrified.
Shrugging, she decided to play it right down the middle, said, “Its possible, I guess.”
“Huh,” Heather said, sitting back in her chair. She was lost in thought, her face hard to read. It didn’t do anything for Addison’s nerves. She wanted the girl to just shrug and go on eating. Or even say something derogatory so Addison would know one way or the other.
Finally, she had to ask.
“Why?” Addison asked, trying not to seem too interested in her answer, “Would you care?”
“If one of my friends was a lesbian?” Heather said, giving her a sour look, “do you really think I’m that kind of person?”
Addison had to fight to keep the relief off her face as she smiled and said, “No.”
“I say do what makes you happy,” the girl said, then grinned, “or who.”
Snorting, Addison laughed, “Wow.”
“What about you?” Heather asked, grinning.
“Me?” Addison parroted. For a second, she thought the girl was asking if she was the lesbian friend, almost panicked for nothing. Then, she realized what the girl was really asking. She didn’t like how nervous she sounded as she answered, “Um, no. I wouldn’t care if one of you girls was gay.”
Laughing, Heather said, “Hey, it’s not me.”
“Are you sure?” Addison asked, grinning, “maybe this whole conversation was some elaborate ruse. Did Tara REALLY pull you into the bathroom?”
“Funny,” Heather said, laughing. Leaning forward, the girl said, “The only person I’d go that way with would be Halle Berry.”
Snorting in surprise, Addison laughed, “Why Halle?”
“Why not? She’s beautiful,” Heather said, grinning, “she’s my one gay crush.”
“Wow,” Addison said, shaking her head and laughing.
“What about you?” Heather asked.
“Would I sleep with Halle Berry?” Addison asked, laughing.
“Are you the lesbian friend?”
With what she hoped was a convincing grin, Addison said, “You caught me. I’m a lesbian.”
Heather grinned and laughed. Addison got a little thrill telling her, even if the girl thought she was joking.
———————————-
“Uh oh.”
Tara saw the look on Addison’s face as she stepped up to her locker and cringed. She couldn’t have looked more guilty if she tried and she offered Addison a sheepish grin.
Some of her anger over the embarrassing conversation with Heather went out of her when she saw the look on the girl’s face. Annoying as it had been, it had been done out of love. She had intended to tell the girl off, but she just shook her head, instead.
“Asshole,” she said, laughing.
“I take it Heather talked to you?” Tara asked.
“Yeah. She was convinced you are a lesbian,” Addison said, grinning at the surprised look on her friend’s face.
“Me? Why would she… Oh, she thought because I was asking…” the girl said, blushing.
“She couldn’t wait to tell me the juicy gossip,” Addison said, laughing, “hopefully she told me before anyone else. It could be halfway around the school by now.”
“You don’t think…” Tara said, then shook her head, “people already think I’m a stoner, so why not a lesbian, too.”
“So, what was up with the questions, anyway?” Addison asked, giving her friend a dirty look.
“I, well…” the girl said, grinning sheepishly, “I was meddling.”
“And doing a fine job of it,” Addison said, laughing.
“Are you mad?”
Shaking her head, Addison said, “Some warning would have been nice. I almost drown.”
“No way,” Tara said, her eyes wide. A normal person would have asked for an explanation, but Tara wasn’t exactly a normal person. She seemed perfectly content to leave that random statement hang out there.
Addison laughed, said, “I was taking a drink of my chocolate milk when she sprang you being a lesbian on me. I’m definitely not a fish, it would seem.”
“Nice turn of phrase,” Tara said, nodding appreciatively.
“Thanks,” Addison said, grinning. Conversations with Tara were always a trip.
“She was cool with it, by the way,” Tara said.
“I know,” she said.
“She’s cool with it… I’m cool with it…” Tara said, looking pointedly at her.
“Yeah, yeah,” Addison said, laughing, “I get it.”
———————————
Ethan lived three houses up from Addison. She saw him sitting on his porch, playing with his PSP. He glanced up as she came up his steps. He gave her a curious smile, his eyes widening. They were friends, but she guessed it was still odd that she showed up unannounced. She gave him a smile.
“Shove over, Ethan,” Addison said, bumping the boy with her hip.
Laughing, Ethan slid over and said, “Hey, Addison. What are you doing here?”
“I need to talk to you,” she said, sitting down.
“Me?” He parroted, raising his eyebrows questioningly. When he saw it was important, he quickly saved his game, then turned the handheld game system off. Turning toward her, he said, “What do you want to talk about?”
“Are you going-” she said, then came up short when she noticed something, “where are your glasses?”
“I got contacts,” he said, laughing, “is that what you wanted to talk to me about?”
“No,” she said, smiling at him, “just noticed you weren’t wearing them. You look nice without them.”
“Thanks,” he said.
“This is a new shirt, too, isn’t it?” Addison asked, frowning at him, “What gives?”
“What do you mean what gives?” He asked, blushing.
Grinning, Addison asked, “Who are you trying to impress?”
“I’m not trying to impress anyone. Just trying something new,” he said.
“Uh huh,” she said, making him squirm. Finally, she let him off the hook, “Are you going to ask Tara to the Valentine’s Day Dance?”
“I… Well, do you…” he said, and then faltered to a stop.
“Let me rephrase that,” she said, putting a hand on his shoulder, “you ARE going to ask Tara to the dance.”
He look at her for a long second, then nodded. Rubbing the back of his neck, he said, “Is she going to say yes?”
“Yeah, she likes you, too, dummy,” Addison said, smiling, “is Tara the one you are dressing up for?”
He nodded and gave her a shy smile. Addison recognized the smile; it was like the one she favored Bethany with.
“Good,” she said, smiling at him.
“How about you?” He asked, giving her a curious look.
“Me?” She parroted, raising her eyebrows.
He grinned and asked, “Who are you dressing up for?”
“Wha-What do you mean?” She stammered, not liking having the question turned on her. Her heart started beating faster, and palms started sweating.
“The new hairdo, the new clothes,” he said, looking pointedly at her new outfit.
His line of questioning was making her nervous. She got the feeling he knew something, but she just might be paranoid. Being a closeted lesbian, she always seemed to be on edge, wondering if she was going to be found out.
“I’m not trying to impress anyone,” she said, and it sounded false to her ears. The grin Ethan gave her said it sounded bogus to his, as well.
Leaning closer, he asked, “Does Bethany appreciate the new clothes?”
So caught off guard by the question, she gasped before she could stop herself. She saw his smile widen, and she knew she had given herself away. Her face drained of color, and her heart sank to her knees. She felt jittery, hot all over with adrenaline.
Seeing her start to panic, he said, “Take it easy. It’s cool.”
She met his eyes, saw he wasn’t messing with her. She relaxed some but was still mortified that he knew. Leaning close, she asked, “How did you know?”
“The way you look at her when you think no one is watching,” he said, blushing, “it’s the way I look at Tara.”
“Shit,” she said. He was the second person to tell her that.
“I’m not going to tell anyone, if that is what you are worried about,” he said, holding her gaze so she could see the truth of it in his eyes.
“I appreciate it,” she said, then laughed sourly, “but apparently I can’t stop making googly eyes at Bethany. I didn’t even realize I was doing it. God, if you saw it, someone else might have, too… Someone actually already did. Shit.”
“Is that so bad?” He asked.
She started to laugh or tell him off- she hadn’t decided which- when she realized the question wasn’t as inconsiderate or uninformed as she had originally thought. She saw in his eyes that he understood her situation, somehow.
“Let me guess,” she said, shaking her head, “you think I should just tell everyone and get it over with.”
“Something like that,” he said, giving her a sympathetic smile.
Laughing, she said, “You and Tara are perfect for each other.”
“She’s the other person who knows?”
“Yeah,” she said, then laughed, “she sort of caught us kissing.”
“Hard to deny it then,” he laughed.
“Yeah,” she agreed, shaking her head, “she thinks we should just tell all of our friends.”
“Are you going to?” He asked, looking at her expectantly.
“I don’t know,” she said, sighing, “I need to talk to Bethany about it.”
He nodded, then said, “My aunt waited almost fifteen years before coming out to our family. She was always miserable, pretending to be something she wasn’t. She smiles a lot more these days.”
Addison looked at him, then said, “Yeah, but was she still in middle school when she came out?”
Laughing, he said, “No. She was in her thirties.”
Addison got to her feet and said, “Ask Tara to the dance.”
“I will,” he said, then, “Talk to Bethany.”
She looked at him for a long moment, then nodded and headed home.
————————————
Addison met Bethany at the front door, smiling at the girl as she came up the steps. Bethany wore snug jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt. She looked incredible, even dressed down like this.
She wanted to hug the girl and kiss her deeply, the urge strong enough to make her knees a little weak. It took all of her restraint just to step aside and let the girl in, so she could close the door.
“Hey,” Bethany said, the smile she favored Addison with not making it any easier to keep her hands off the girl.
“Hi,” Addison said, grabbing her hand and heading for the stairs. As she passed by the entrance to the kitchen, she called, “Bethany’s here. We are going up to my room!”
She didn’t wait for her mother’s response, nearly running up the stairs in her eagerness. They didn’t even make it into her bedroom. Addison pressed Bethany against the door, kissing her deeply. She felt better than she had all day, with her arms wrapped around the girl. It was as if she were an addict needing her fix.
Only Bethany was her drug, and she couldn’t get enough of her. The kiss lingered way too long, and Addison became aware they were just standing in the upstairs hallway, making out. Pulling back, she gave Bethany a sheepish grin.
“Did you miss me?” Bethany teased. She smiled warmly at Addison, pulling Addison against her. She put her arms around Addison’s waist so that she couldn’t get away.
Laughing, Addison said, “A little.”
“With a kiss like that, I’d have guessed a lot,” Bethany said, giving her a playful smile.
“Fine,” Addison said, giving her a quick kiss, “I missed you a lot, but we better get out of the hallway.”
They made it in the room, but just barely before they were at it, again. Finally pulling back, Bethany favored her with a playful smile and asked, “Did you really want to talk to me about something or was it just a ruse to get me here to make-out?”
Laughing, Addison said, “No. I do really need to talk to you about something. The making-out is just a bonus.”
Bethany sat on the bed and Addison joined her. Taking a deep breath, Addison told the girl about her day- about Heather thinking Tara was a lesbian, about confronting Tara about her meddling, about talking to Ethan. Bethany listened to the story with an amused grin.
In tune with her as always, Bethany asked, “And you want to know what I think about telling our friends about us?”
“I think they are going to figure it out eventually, anyway,” Addison said, smiling at her, “I can’t help the way I look at you.”
Bethany favored her with an affectionate smile and gave her a toe curling kiss, before saying, “I love you, too.”
Her voice was a little husky when Addison asked, “What do you think?”
“They are going to figure it out eventually, like you said,” Bethany said, then grinned, “especially when they are invited to the wedding.”
“We should probably get out of middle school before we discuss marriage,” Addison said, even though the thought of marrying Bethany made her smile. She wondered which one of them would wear a dress, then realized she had distracted herself. Shaking it off, she focused on the conversation at hand.
“I’m okay with it, if you want to tell them,” she said, taking Addison’s hand and giving it a squeeze.
Addison met her eyes and took a deep breath, nodded. Her pent up breath escaped her as a nervous laugh, and she said, “Okay.”
“Um,” Bethany said, looking as anxious as she felt, “how do you want to do it?”
“By text message?” Addison offered, laughing when Bethany gave her a ‘get serious’ look, “I don’t know. Maybe all at once. Get the girls together and just… Go for it.”
“The band-aid method,” Bethany said, smiling and nodding, “I like it.”
“Oh God,” Addison said, putting her hand to her mouth and meeting Bethany’s eyes, “we are really going to do this, aren’t we?”
Bethany gave her a sweet, tender kiss and said, “Yeah.”
Addison moved against the girl, and Bethany wrapped her up in her arms. She was scared to death to open up to her friends, but she felt safe in the girl’s arms. Laying her head on Bethany’s shoulder, she thought she could do it, come out to her friends and the world if Bethany was holding her hand. She smiled, thinking she could do just about anything with the girl at her side.
It wasn’t really anything new; she had thought the same thing when they were just friends.
They sat like that awhile, just enjoying each others warmth, the closeness. Eventually, when Bethany put her hand on Addison’s chin, turning her head for a kiss, Addison was ready for it. As it had in the hallway, the kiss stole their common sense, and Addison didn’t stop Bethany when the girl started unbuttoning her dress. She moaned thickly as Bethany’s hand found her breast, kneading it through the bra she wore. Her nipple stiffened in response, rubbing deliciously against the palm of Bethany’s hand.
Bethany’s hands on her shoulders pushed the dress back, and it slipped down Addison’s arms, pooling around her waist. Addison glanced at the door, but Bethany’s hand on her chin turned her back into the kiss. A shiver of excitement worked through her, the danger of this turning her on. She pulled her arms out of the dress so she could tug at Bethany’s shirt. Laughing, the girl helped her get it off.
A door closed and both girls froze, Addison’s hand still on Bethany’s breast. Addison’s heart jackhammered in her chest as she whipped her head toward the door. She sighed in relief when she saw it was still closed. One of her parents must be using the bathroom. Still, the jittery adrenaline shakes took some of the fun of being dangerous.
“Um,” Addison said, slipping back into her dress, “maybe we should keep the clothes on for now.”
Looking for her shirt, Bethany said, “Yeah. That scared the hell out of me. I thought we were busted.”
“I thought we were busted, too,” Addison said, tossing the top to her. She began fiddling with the little buttons on her dress, having trouble with them because her hands were shaking so bad.
Dressed again, they looked at each other, then burst out laughing. They fell backward on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, the giggles drying up. Bethany offered her hand, and Addison took it, smiling at her.
Addison moved against Bethany, laying her head on the girl’s shoulder. Bethany put an arm around her, pulled her even closer. Smiling, Addison ran her fingers over the girl’s stomach, then lower onto the crotch of the jeans she wore. Bethany’s breathing got a little funny as Addison massaged her through the thick material, her hips beginning to gyrate against Addison’s hand.
The first moan to escape Bethany made Addison smile, and she knew what she was doing felt good even through the denim. Propping up on her elbow, she kissed Bethany deeply. The girl responded, her excitement evident in the eagerness of her kiss.
Addison popped the button on Bethany’s jeans, then slipped her hand into the girl’s panties. Bethany pressed her face against Addison’s neck, muffling her little noises of enjoyment. Addison’s able fingers drove the girl’s body crazy, and those little noises got louder and louder. Bethany pressed her face tighter against Addison’s neck, but it wasn’t doing much good, anymore.
Rolling her eyes to her bedroom door, she hoped whoever had been in the bathroom was back downstairs. She really didn’t want one of her parents passing by to hear them and decide to investigate. It’d be hard to explain why she had her hand in Bethany’s pants.
Still, she wasn’t going to stop. She loved those little sounds of excitement the girl was making, loved the way Bethany’s body was moving under her touch. Plus, it was kind of exciting, doing this while her parents were still up and about.
“Oh God,” Bethany said, her voice a breathy moan, “I’m going to come!”
The girl climaxed hard, her hips jerking violently. Addison gently massaged the girl’s bud, keeping Bethany lost in the sensation a bit longer. Finally, she slipped her hand from the girl’s jeans, buttoned them back.
Bethany gently bore Addison to her back, then slid her hands under the dress she wore. When her fingers curled on the waistband of her panties, Addison gave her a curious looking. Bethany winked at her and tugged at her panties. Giggling, Addison lifted her backside off the bed and Bethany slipped her panties down and off her long legs. The girl tossed them in the direction of the hamper, missed by a mile.
“Lie back,” Bethany said, smiling playfully at her.
Her heart racing, Addison stretched out on her back. Bethany’s hands slipped up her thighs, pushing the hem of her dress higher and higher until it was gathered around her waist. Addison watched as the girl moved between her spread legs, then glanced at the door.
This is a bad idea, Addison thought, then changed her mind as Bethany started kissing her way up the inside of her thigh. She sighed as the girl’s lips brushed against her tender bud and she shivered. The hot, wet pressure of Bethany’s tongue drew a moan from her, and her body began to move on its own. Her hips rolled against Bethany’s mouth as her excitement grew.
She bit her lip to keep quiet, glancing at the door, again. It took all of her concentration to keep her voice in check. Still, the moans she was making were getting away from her. It was just impossible to keep quiet with the lovely things Bethany was doing to her.
The girl had her in a state, so excited she could hardly stand it. Her body seemed confused, trying to escape the intense pleasure even as her nerve endings cried out for more. Luckily, Bethany had a hold of her hips, wouldn’t let her get away.
She closed her eyes, basking in the wonderful sensations washing through her young body. She lost herself in the feel of Bethany’s able tongue as it drew across her tender bud, of her lips as she gently kissed the hood.
So wrapped up in the ecstasy Bethany was bringing her, she mistook the knock at the door as the pounding of her heart. Luckily, Bethany was quicker to react, pulling her head back and wiping her mouth. When she saw Addison was a little dazed and slow to react, she tugged Addison’s dress back into place.
No sooner than her modesty was restored did Addison’s mother poke her head into the room. She said, “It’s getting dark out, Bethany. Are you-”
The woman’s words came to a stop as she looked from one girl to the next. Maybe it was her mom instincts kicking in or they just looked guilty as hell sitting there on the bed, but her eyes narrowed, and she said, “What are two up to?”
“Nothing,” Addison said, cringing at how suspicious that sounded to her own ears.
The woman’s eyes narrowed even further, and she looked around the room. Finding nothing out of place, she turned those eyes back on Addison, and it made her want to squirm. She thought the woman could see through her dress somehow and would know she wasn’t wearing panties.
She hoped the woman couldn’t see her blushing from the door.
Finally, her mother turned to Bethany and said, “It’s getting dark. Are you going to need a ride home?”
Bethany glanced at the window, then shook her head, “I told Mom I’d be home before dark.”
“Okay,” Addison’s mother said.
“I got to go,” Bethany said, then got off the bed, “See you at school tomorrow.”
“See you then,” Addison said, smiling at her.
Then the girl was gone. Her mother gave her one more look, then closed the door. Putting her face in her hands, Addison started laughing. It was a nervous giggle, and she still hot all over with adrenaline. Lowering her hands, she said, “That was way too close.”
———————————–
“So what’s so important that we are all here on a school night?”
Addison looked around the semi-circle of girls sitting in Bethany’s bedroom. The six pairs of eyes staring back at her didn’t do anything for the butterflies in her stomach, and she had to blot her hands on her thighs, again. She glanced to her left at Bethany and wondered if the girl was half as nervous as she was. Seeing her looking her way, Bethany gave her a reassuring smile.
Turning to the group, Bethany said, “Um, Addison and I have something to tell you all.”
Tara sat up straighter and met Addison’s eyes, raising her eyebrows questioningly. The girl had guessed what this was about, or thought she had. Addison gave her a little nod, and the girl started grinning. Addison wished she had her confidence.
Heather looked from Addison to Bethany, and then her eyes widened. Addison thought she could see the gears turning in the girl’s head. She saw the girl come to the correct conclusion, all but had a light bulb pop on over her head. Heather glanced at Tara, saw the girl grinning at Bethany and her. She had an amused look on her face when she turned back to Addison.
“Tell us what?” Alison Lancet asked, leaning forward. She looked at Becky Haldane, gave the girl a cat with a cornered mouse smile. Becky looked at Addison nervously.
Something going on there, Addison thought, frowning. She didn’t know what but something definitely was up with those two.
“Um…” Addison said, then hesitated. She look at her little group of friends, said a little prayer that they would still want to be her friend after these next few sentences. Taking a deep breath, she said, “I’m a lesbian.”
“Shit,” Becky said, shaking her head. Addison raised her eyebrows questioningly, and the girl blushed and gave her a sheepish grin.
“Hah,” Alison laughed, holding out her hand. Becky fished a wadded up bill out of her pocket and passed it to the girl.
“What the hell?” Bethany asked, laughing. She seemed as confused by their reaction as Addison was.
“I bet her you two were a couple,” Alison said, grinning at them, “you two just made me twenty bucks.”
I guess it’s a good thing we decided to tell everyone, because they already know, Addison thought with an inward grin.
“Are you two a couple?” Susan Conrad asked, leaning forward.
Bethany took Addison’s hand and said, “Yeah.”
“Since when?” The girl asked, looking from Addison to Bethany.
“About two weeks, I guess,” Addison said, holding her breath. She wondered what the girl’s reaction was going to be.
“You waited this long to tell us,” Susan said, giving her a sad shake of her head, “not cool.”
Laughing, Addison said, “We were just…”
“Assholes?” Susan asked, grinning at her, “assholes who thought their friends wouldn’t be cool with them being a couple?”
“I was going to say scared,” Addison said, smiling at her.
Susan got off the couch, and Addison and Bethany found themselves being hugged tightly. The girl said, “I’m just teasing, of course. I know it took a lot of guts to gather us all here.”
Addison felt tears sting her eyes, and she couldn’t hold them back. She gave Susan a warm smile when the girl finally let them go. The girl had no sooner sat down that Addison found herself being hugged, again. She barely had time to see it was Tara before the girl was squeezing the life out of her.
“I’m proud of you two,” she said, making more tears slip down Addison’s cheeks. She hugged the girl back fiercely.
Then suddenly, she and Bethany found themselves in the middle of a group hug. She already loved all these girls, but her heart swelled even more at their acceptance. Not used to being the center of attention, she was a little embarrassed, but she basked in the glow of their love, anyway. It burned bright, pushed back all the shadows of doubt that she and Bethany were doing the right thing by telling them.
As the girls started to peel off the pile, Addison saw she wasn’t the only one who needed to dry her eyes. She wasn’t sure there was a dry eye in the room. Even the stoic Becky was crying. She saw Addison looking as she wiped her eyes and gave Addison a sheepish grin.
“Um,” Bethany said, her voice a little thick with emotion, “you all fucking rock!”
Surprised by the outburst, the group laughed, and Bethany turned bright red. Addison put her arm around the girl’s shoulder, said, “Yeah. You all really do. Thanks for being cool.”
“Yeah, yeah. We love you, too,” Alison said, wiping her eyes, “now, can we stop with all the mushy shit. I hate crying.”
Everyone laughed, and Addison looked around their little group of friends. She smiled as she saw everything was going to be alright. Glancing at Bethany, she saw the girl had come to the same conclusion. Smiling, she offered her hand and Bethany took it, gave it a squeeze.
———————————
“Mom, do you think Addison can stay the night?”
Bethany’s mother looked up from the novel she was reading on her Ipad, saw her daughter and Addison looking at her expectantly. She sat the tablet aside and said, “It’s a school night.”
“It’s okay with my mom, if it’s okay with you,” Addison said, holding out her phone.
Laughing, the woman took the phone and said, “Hello… Yeah, they are giving me the puppy dog eyes… No, it’s fine. I can drive them to school in the morning…I’ll ask her.”
She held the phone away and asked, “Do you want your mom to bring some clothes over? I figure you could just borrow something from Bethany and save her the trip.”
“That’s okay. Just tell her that,” Addison said.
“She’ll just borrow something from Bethany… Alright. I’ll give you back to her… I’ll tell her you said goodbye, then. Have a good night.”
She handed the phone back to Addison, said, “This is a one-time thing, right? Not a habit?”
“Not a habit,” Bethany said, giving her mom a squeeze, “thanks.”
“I still want you asleep at a reasonable hour,” she said, picking up her Ipad.
Bethany looked at Addison and gave her an excited smile. Addison had to look away or lose it in a giggling fit. Bethany grabbed her arm and steered her toward the stairs to the basement before their excitement could boil over.
Addison hadn’t expected to stay over tonight, but when their friends finally left, and they were alone… They had had to put some of their clothes back on just to ask permission for Addison to stay over. Addison had looked at Bethany, and the girl had smiled. The next thing she knew, Bethany’s shirt was off, and Addison’s pants were unbuttoned, and their lips were locked. It had taken a herculean effort of will to stop long enough to call Addison’s mom.
Now they were down the stairs at a sprint, eager to pick up where they had left off. They crawled onto the bed, kissing as they went. Their passion hadn’t cooled any during the intermission upstairs, and they were tugging at each others clothing in an effort to get naked. Finally, they had to stop kissing, laughing at their urgency as they began undressing.
In just her panties and bra, Addison asked, “Should we really be doing this? What if your parents want to check on us?”
Bethany glanced at her alarm clock, then grinned at Addison. She crawled up and turned out her bedside light, then came to Addison and kissed her. Putting her arms around Addison’s neck, she said, “Nine-thirty-eight is a reasonable bedtime, right?”
Picking up on her meaning, Addison grinned and said, “Very reasonable.”
In the gloom, their bodies came together, the space evaporating between them. Addison loved the feel of the girl’s body pressed against her own, of Bethany’s hands as they roamed over her back and down to cup her buttocks. Her own hands thrilled to the soft skin under her fingertips and she helped Bethany out of her bra and panties so she could explore more of the girl’s lovely body. It didn’t take long for Bethany to have Addison naked as well, their clothes flung far and wide.
Addison giggled as the girl toppled her backward, then crawled atop her. Bethany kissed her deeply as she moved between Addison’s spread legs. The first roll of the girl’s hips brought a moan to Addison’s lips and the second made her break the kiss so it could escape her. She wrapped her legs around Bethany’s waist, her ankles crossing behind her. She moaned again as their bodies met, the delicious friction sending pleasure coursing through her young body.
Bethany found a rhythm that drove Addison wild, the sensual flex of her body making her writhe on her back. The dark was far from perfect, ruined by the multitude of LEDs on the electronics scattered around the room, and Addison could see the smile on Bethany’s face. That smile said she knew what a sweet torture the roll of her hips was, what the meetings of their bodies was doing to Addison. It was a confident smile and sexy as hell. Even more turned on, Addison kissed the girl eagerly.
The excitement grew and grew between them, building up like a static charge. Every nerve ending was tingling in Addison’s body, brought to life by Bethany’s lovely body rubbing against her own. She couldn’t contain her little cries of pleasure, could only hope they didn’t carry up the stairs. Her fingers dug into Bethany’s shoulders as she held on. Bethany didn’t seem to mind, kissing her deeply.
It felt too good to last, and Addison felt the first stirrings of an orgasm deep inside. She heard Bethany’s cries grow urgent and knew she wasn’t the only one. That static charge that had been building up between them had grown out of control, and Addison cried out as pleasure arced through her young body. She stiffened under Bethany, then shook like live wires had been laid across her body. The spark jumped to Bethany, and the girl came hard, her whole body trembling between Addison’s thighs.
Addison kissed the girl deeply. The girl responded and Addison realized the spark hadn’t been extinguished. The caress of the girl’s tongue as it teased her own brought it back to life and it quickly grew white hot.
When Bethany rolled off of her and onto her back, Addison moved atop her, straddling one of her hips. She sighed as their bodies nested together, fitting like they were meant to be together. Leaning in, she gave Bethany a deep, lingering kiss. She found Bethany’s hands in the dark, their fingers entwining. Bethany’s fingers tightened on hers as Addison’s hips began to rock back and forth.
In the gloom, she saw the girl smiling at her. She gave her a tender kiss, then said, “I love you.”
Wrapping her arms around Addison’s neck, Bethany smiled at her and said, “I love you, too.”
Some of the urgency had left them, and Addison was in no rush this time. She kept her pace slow and sensual, her hands roaming over Bethany’s supine body. She could just make out the girl’s outline in the dark, but she got to know Bethany with her hands, loving every plane and curve of her body from the swell of her small breasts to the hollow of her hip bone to the faint lines of her abdominal muscles. Even with her eyes closed, she’d know the girl was lovely.
Bethany didn’t mind the languish pace, happy to meet her counter thrust for thrust. She explored Addison as eagerly as Addison explored her. Her caresses left Addison’s skin tingling in their wake, her nerve endings begging her touch to come back.
Their pace slowly increased, until Addison’s hips were almost a blur in her eagerness. Her cries of pleasure filled the basement and mingled with Bethany’s. The springs on the bed were singing along with them, creaking under their shifting weight. Lost in the feel of the girl’s body moving with hers- against hers- she forgot to worry about the noise she was making. She got lost in Bethany, everything else pushed back and unimportant.
They pushed each other closer and closer to another climax, their coupling becoming frantic, again. Addison felt her orgasm gathering force deep inside and tried to hold it back until Bethany was ready to come with her. Luckily, the girl didn’t make her wait long. As her cries became sharper and her hips lost their grace, Addison let her own orgasm off its leash. Free, it shook her apart, and she cried out in ecstasy. Half a heartbeat behind her, Bethany was rocked by her own orgasm.
Gasping for air and shivering as the cool air found their sweat-slick skin, they hugged each other and laughed. Addison kissed her and said, “Holy shit!”
“Yeah,” Bethany agreed, still trying to get her breath.
Addison glanced at the alarm clock, her eyes growing wide, “We should get to sleep. It’s almost midnight.”
Kissing her, Bethany said, “In a minute.”
In the backlight of the alarm clock, Addison saw the grin on the girl’s face and thought, It’s going to be a lot longer than a minute before we get to sleep tonight
Ebo you’ve done it again and it’s one hell of a story. I do so enjoy your writing and it gets better every time you write. The nervous of the girls as they come out to the friends is so true to how that can feel.
Ok I’m having issues getting words together. I’ve really enjoyed and like all your stories I’ll enjoy re reading it again.
Hi
My g/f and I have recently found your site and think it wonderful. We both cried over Secret Admirer and look forward to the next part of The Dance.
So far your lesbian stories have stayed clear of the persecution that can often accompany relationships like ours. I think Mindy’s story is the nearest so far. I think you are right in not introducing anything anal just yet. I think they should find out about this by accident rather than looking at porn. I notice you have one/two readers who cannot resist on mentioning the odd English mistake, well – shame on them for not just being thankful. Looking forward to your next musing. Susan and Jen
Thanks, Susan and Jen. I’m glad you are enjoying the site and hope to see you two around some more. I’ve hinted at the persecution you mentioned but haven’t really put any of my characters through it. Maybe they are just lucky or I just don’t want anything shitty to happen to them. You put as much time and energy into writing about these characters as I have, they begin to feel like friends and you only want the best for your friends, right? The thought of someone being singled out and harassed just because of their sexual orientation or because they are different pisses me off and that’s really not the mood I’m looking for in my stories.
Lovely, just lovely. The old romantic in me is just purring right now. Love the story, the old-fashioned genuine love story of two young people coming together. Never mind what the future holds they have their love in the here and now. It must be a bit dusty in here because my eyes are very moist at the moment.
Another lovely chapter. Very sweet scene when they tell their friends and everyone is accepting. Even though like half of them had already figured it out. 🙂 Maybe they will work up to telling their moms next… then again, that would likely mean no more sleepovers, so probably not. They’ll have to learn to be more careful then! Will they go to the dance together openly? Now that’s a big step.
